Course Description: 804 Skills of Expert Testimony
INSTRUCTOR:
Guillaume Lavictoire provides legal advice and services to municipalities respecting infrastructure projects involving the acquisition and/or expropriation of privately owned lands. He also represents numerous small and large-scale landowners across the province facing expropriation. Guillaume has extensive experience representing clients in expropriation proceedings before the Board of Negotiation and the Ontario Municipal Board. Guillaume is on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Expropriation Association, and currently serves on the executive of the “OEA” Board as Secretary. He also serves on the editorial board of Just, an OBA-published magazine with circulation to over 18,000 lawyers in Ontario. Guillaume has completed the Harvard Negotiation Institute's intensive program at Harvard Law School and he has completed the International Right of Way Association’s CLIMB instructor training. Guillaume received an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa. Prior to attending law school, he received a B.A. (Honours) in Political Science from the University of Toronto. Guillaume spent a portion of his undergraduate studies at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques, in Grenoble, France. Fluently bilingual in French and English, Guillaume serves clients in both languages.
