By: Chapter 10 INSTRUCTOR: Raymond O. Howd has worked for the Michigan Department of Attorney General since 1985. He worked in the Transportation Division from 1994 through 2007. Mr. Howd represented MDOT in a variety of matters involving property acquisition, condemnation litigation, and environmental issues. He was involved in all of MDOT’s condemnation appeals, and oversaw all of MDOT's condemnation litigation. He is the Michigan Chapter 7 committee chair on law and legislation and a frequent speaker at IRWA meetings and conferences. Mr. Howd co-chaired the CLE International Michigan conferences on Eminent Domain in 2002, 2004, and 2005. In addition, Mr Howd has given numerous other group presentations on issues concerning environmental law, property acquisition, and condemnation law and strategy.
