Kevin Preister is an anthropologist from the University of California at Davis who lives in Ashland, Oregon. For 15 years, Kevin was a social ecology instructor for the Bureau of Land Management’s National Training Center in Phoenix, conducting training workshops in rural towns across the West and promoting community-based solutions to natural resource issues. Through James Kent Associates he had numerous contracts to troubleshoot BLM and Forest Service projects using an Issue Management approach. He has also worked for corporations in many locations, helping them to understand and work with communities better, including commercial and residential development, powerline corridors, highways and mining.
