Course Description:  901 Engineering Plan Development & Application

INSTRUCTOR:
Julie McDonald, PLS, PE
is an entrepreneur, a surveyor, an engineer, an avid reader and a beachgoer – whenever she gets the chance. As Managing Owner of Tidemark Land Services, she tends to stay busy building the business she is passionate about. Julie believes that education is the key to continued professional success and strives to continue her own education and helping others in this pursuit as well. With over 26 years of progressive surveying and engineering experience in North and South Carolina she is well positioned to do just that. She is a PE and a PLS in several states, holds an AAS in Business Administration, an AAS in Survey and Civil Engineering Technology, and a BSET in Civil Engineering Technology. She has worked on a multitude of projects for NCDOT, the City of Charlotte, Charlotte Water, and other surrounding municipalities, various utility/gas companies, construction firms and engineering firms. During her career, Ms. McDonald has built up a broad base of experience in civil engineering design, subsurface utility engineering, right-of-way and land surveying. Julie’s mission of continued education and professional growth is evident in her passion when you speak to her about the industry. Ultimately Julie believes that by empowering and helping students and professionals, to elevate their standards of practice within their profession, together, they can make the industry better and she is excited about helping others on this journey.
