Course Description: 205 Bargaining Negotiations

 

INSTRUCTORS:

Kathy Rudolph, SR/WA, is a real estate specialist with TerraVenture Advisors. She has over 25 years of experience providing right of way services for public infrastructure projects in Wisconsin. She is competent in acquisition/negotiation, residential and commercial relocation assistance, property management, project scoping, and project management. She also has experience as an expert witness for relocation. Kathy has served in leadership roles throughout her career, including training and mentoring other agents. Kathy is a former President of Chapter 17. She holds the SR/WA designation and is a CLIMB Certified Instructor for negotiation courses.

 

Laurie Altenhofen, RWA, R/W-NAC is a Senior Right of Way Agent with Contract Land Staff, LLC., one of the largest independent right of way and land services companies in the nation.  Bringing a diverse professional background, along with real estate education and experience, Laurie handles complex negotiations for utility projects, collaborating with private property owners, government agencies, and corporate partners, to effectively and efficiently move projects forward. Known for her strong work ethic, commitment to service and continuing education, Laurie has a passion for developing others.  She partners with leadership to plan and deliver team trainings, and mentors new staff members with a goal of increasing their excitement about right of way work, encouraging membership with IRWA, and strengthening their skills and contributions to the overall teams, and industry success. Laurie studied Business Management with a focus in Adult Education at Alverno College and later earned her Bachelor of Science in Business, with honors, from the University of Phoenix. She is a member of IRWA Badger Chapter 17, serves as an at-large member of the International Electric and Utilities Committee, is a licensed Real Estate Broker, and also holds the Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) certification.
