Course Description: This 4-hour renewable (green) energy course will provide IRWA members and non-members with an introduction to solar energy. This course provides a description, glossary of terms, sources, legislation and regulation, relationships and partnerships, various technologies, advantages and disadvantages, environmental impacts, and mitigation.
Target Audience Engineers, Attorneys, Land Acquisition Specialists, Relocation Specialists, Land Use Planners, Project Managers, Property Managers, Appraisers, Government Employees, and Consultants.
Course Objectives By the end of this 4-hour course, you will: • Demonstrate a basic understanding of solar energy, individual and solar arrays, source, installations, considerations, and types. • Recognize the advantages and disadvantages, environmental impacts, and the cost associated with solar energy. • Apply the course content in your workplace to engage, consult, negotiate, and acquire for a solar project.
