INSTRUCTOR:
Vivian D. Howell, MBA, SR/WA, R/W-NAC, R/W-RAC is the Vice-Chair of the International Right of Way Relocation Assistance Committee, a member of its Strategic Planning Committee and past Chair of its Research and Study Committee. Ms. Howell is President of IRWA Chapter 1- Los Angeles - Bakersfield. She has served as Chapter 1’s Board Secretary and its Treasurer and is Co-Chair of its Professional Development Committee. She is a licensed California State Real Estate Broker and has worked in the field of real estate for over 25 years. Ms. Howell’s professional experience in the public arena has been in right of way related capacities with various departments in the City of Los Angeles, including the Department of Water and Power, General Services and the Port of Los Angeles. Currently, she is a manager in the Commercial Development Group at Los Angeles World Airports. She manages and trains professionals in negotiation, acquisition, relocation and subdivisions and is a certified facilitator for IRWA. Since 1996, Ms. Howell has been a volunteer mediator and facilitator with the Dispute Resolution Program, City Attorney’s Office of the City of Los Angeles. She sits on the Board of the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles. Her MBA was earned through Loyola Marymount’s Executive MBA Program and she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance from California State University, Los Angeles.
