Attention Easement Right of Way (ERW) Agents:
IRWA is now approved as a Qualifying Education (QE) Provider for TREC-ERW.  Please follow the guidelines below so you may be credited with the correct education credits.
 
For Agents who hold the ERW license:
After taking and passing the exam for either Course 100 or Course 803, please ask you course coordinator for the TREC-ERW roster. Complete and sign the roster, and then ask the course coordinator to forward it to Maggie Schedler at  Maggie.Schedler@atkinsglobal.com. She will post this information to the TREC education posting website.
 
If you took the course virtually, please go to https://irwaregion2.org/CEProcess and fill out the form. If you are requesting TREC (Real Estate Agent or Broker) or TALCB credits, IRWA has 10 days (this includes weekends) to report your credits.  Please follow the link provided to request your TREC/TALCB credits.
 
For future ERW agents:
After passing the QE course, please send a PDF copy of your IRWA course completion certificate to 
documents@trec.texas.gov.

Course Description:  100 Principles of Land Acquisition

INSTRUCTOR:
Krista Chambers, SR/WA began her right of way career at the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) in Great Falls, MT. Krista spent the first 15 years with MDT, specializing in difficult negotiations, which allowed her to cover hundreds of miles of right of way projects throughout Big Sky Country. In 2018, Krista accepted a position as a Project Manager with HDR Engineering Inc., and is currently the ROW/Real Estate Services Manager in Washington. She has spent her career involved in all phases of right of way (Project scoping, appraisal/appraisal review, acquisition, negotiation, relocation assistance and property (asset) management). In addition to her career experience, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Communications from Montana State University and is an IRWA CLIMB Certified Instructor. Krista is currently the IRWA Region 7 Vice Chair and on the International Professional Education Committee (Instructor Development). She is the recipient of the IRWA 2018 Region 7 Professional of the Year and has served as the Secretary to the IPEC Curriculum, Instructor Development and Credentialing Subcommittees. She has also served on the International Finance Committee and served two years as the Region 7 International Nominations and Elections Committee Representative. Krista also holds a Broker’s license in Washington.
 
Cyndi Whelpley, SR/WA started her right of way career with Caltrans in 1992 after graduating from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration. She moved to Washington state in 2000 and has worked for Puget Sound Energy, the Washington State Dept. of Transportation and on local agency projects with Universal Field Services, Inc.  Cyndi is currently a Project Manager with HDR, Inc. based in their Everett office. She has also served in the U.S. Naval Reserves with Seabee battalions in the Pacific Fleet, NAS Whidbey Island VR-61 squadron and as a Protocol Officer with the Vice Admiral of the Naval Reserve in New Orleans. Cyndi is a past recipient of the Chapter 4 Professional of the Year award, 2018 Balfour Award Finalist and 2020 Region Professional of the year. She currently serves as IRWA Region 7 Chair and Secretary on the International Relocation Assistance committee. She has earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman College and completed the University of Washington’s Project Management Certification program. Cyndi has a heart of service and actively involved in her community with the Rotary International, Soroptomist International of the Americas and serving as a Board member on the Scleroderma Foundation of the Northwest Chapter.
