Course Description:  803 Eminent Domain Law Basics for Right of Way Professionals

INSTRUCTOR:
David L. Rein, Jr.,
absolutely loves talking (what lawyer doesn't?) about and helping others learn about the legal issues (800 series classes) and professional issues (100 series classes) that we face in the right-of-way profession. He is a partner at the Bruce Campbell Law Firm LLP and also teaches at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Before that, Dave was a partner at one of the largest 100 law firms in the country and also worked for a federal district court judge, the Honorable Judge Dean Whipple. He has represented energy and water utilities, cities, counties and other political entities and has the unique perspective of also representing businesses and individual landowners involving a range of real estate litigation issues including condemnation and easement disputes in many parts of the country. He twice served as an IRWA Chapter President (apparently he failed the first time) and is an IRWA Ethics Officer.
