Course Description: 901 Engineering Plan Development & Application
INSTRUCTOR:
Fred Easton, Jr., PLS, SR/WA, R/W-AMC begun his career at a young age running a survey rod for his Father’s mapping company. After serving in the US Navy and then surveying in Central Florida, Fred has been with Farnsworth Group as a Senior Land Survey & GIS manager for Farnsworth’s survey staff since 2001. He has over 30 years of experience in surveying, mapping, GIS, ROW, and construction. Fred’s experience includes a wide range of industries including utilities, transportation, public bases and campuses, and commercial development. This has included writing thousands of land descriptions for land acquisition under threat of condemnation. He also manages right-of-way acquisition and real estate management projects, bridging the gap between engineering and negotiation. He has served as expert witness on land boundary and floodplain mapping cases. He currently serves the IRWA as International President and has previously served at all elected positions at Chapter 6, Region 9, and International Office. He is a past recipient of The Chapter 6, The Region 9, and IRWA’s Frank C. Balfour Professional of the Year Awards.
