INSTRUCTOR:
Robert Telford B.Sc., AACI, P. App, P. Land, PSL, MRICS, R/W-AC, SR/WA, Q. Arb., ICD.D is the owner of McNally Land Services Ltd. and Telford Land & Valuation Inc, companies that focus on the valuation, land acquisition, project planning and management for industrial and energy related projects. Mr. Telford has over 30 years’ experience in both land and appraisal sectors and regularly appears as an expert before various tribunals and courts including the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, Saskatchewan Court of Queen’s Bench, Alberta Energy Regulator, Alberta Utilities Commission, The National Resources Conservation Board, Metis Settlement Appeal Tribunal, The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, The Alberta Land Compensation Board, Surface Rights Boards of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. His appraisal practice includes the valuation of land rights, mineral rights, surface rights compensation, indigenous land claims, compensation associated with the expropriation of fee simple and partial takings.He has taught for and is actively involved with many professional associations, educational institutions and government boards including the Alberta Association of the Appraisal Institute, Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen (Serving as President in 2008), American Association of Professional Landmen (Director 2008-2010), International Right-of-Way Association, University of Alberta, Olds College, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Mount Royal University, Municipal Government Board and the Real Estate Council of Alberta (Serving as Chair in 2012).
