Course Description: 502 Non-Residential Relocation Assistance
INSTRUCTOR:
Jorge Cavazos Jorge began his public service career as a Title I teacher with the Cy-Fair Independent School District in Texas while also working as a real estate sales agent. He later entered the right-of-way industry through the Real Estate Branch of the City of Houston’s Public Works Department, where he supported major municipal improvement projects and helped foster goodwill among stakeholders, elected officials, and the public. Today, Jorge brings more than 19 years of experience managing, analyzing, and improving operations across departments and programs. His expertise includes developing policies and procedures; supporting right-of-way acquisition and relocation services under the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended; managing administrative and client-facing projects; maintaining accounting records and invoices; and supervising, training, and supporting staff. Jorge believes that sharing knowledge and experience strengthens the industry, builds relationships, and promotes goodwill. Language Skills: Jorge is fluent in Spanish.
