Course Description:  431 Problems in the Valuation of Partial Acquisitions

INSTRUCTORS:
Bernard W. Lea, SR/WA completed a 36-year career with the U.S. Forest Service, retiring in 1992.  The first 20 years as an engineer, and the remaining 16 as a realty specialist, responsible for easement acquisition, land exchanges, appraisals, and negotiations.  He is a Montana Certified Appraiser (General) and is presently self-employed. He has been a member of Montana Chapter 45 since 1980 and is certified as an instructor to teach appraisal, engineering and negotiation courses.
 
C. Jeffrey Triplette, SR/WA, is General Manager of the Real Estate Department of Duke Power Company, Charlotte, North Carolina.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Wake Forest University and has worked in the areas of fee and right of way acquisition, property management, employee relocation adn valuation since joining Duke Power Company in 1974.  Jeff's current responsibilities include directing all real estate activities for Duke Power Company to include its Employee Relocation Program.  Jeff also teaches numerous courses and seminars in real estate appraisal and negotiations in both the United States and Canada.   Jeff has qualified as an expert witness in real estate appraising in the courts of both North Carolina and South Carolina.  He is also a State Certified Appraiser in North Carolina and South Carolina.
